The role
Ampla is placing a Segment Producer with a national daily news program in New York. You will own segments from pitch to air: finding the story, booking guests, writing and producing the package, and working it through the edit under daily deadline pressure.
What you'll do
- Pitch, research, and produce daily segments from assignment through air
- Book and pre-interview guests; write intros, questions, and copy
- Field produce shoots and work with editors on packages
- React fast to breaking news and shifting rundown priorities
What you bring
- 3+ years producing segments for daily news, talk, or magazine shows
- Strong writing and a proven booking record
- Calm, fast decision-making on daily deadlines
- Based in New York; full-time staff position
