The role

Ampla is hiring a 1st Assistant Camera for an independent feature film shooting in the Los Angeles area. You will run the camera department day to day: building the package, pulling focus, managing media with the DIT, and keeping the camera team ahead of the schedule.

What you'll do

• Build, check, and maintain the camera package each shoot day
• Pull focus on narrative coverage, including handheld and gimbal work
• Manage camera reports, media workflow with DIT, and department gear
• Support the DP and operator across a fast independent schedule

What you bring

• 3+ years as 1st AC on features, series, or commercials
• Deep experience with digital cinema packages (ARRI, RED, Sony)
• References from recent narrative work
• LA local hire; day rate $600
