About the role

Bayshore Therapies provides physical, occupational and speech therapy in skilled nursing facilities throughout California. Support adults and older adults in building daily-living skills and independence in a skilled nursing rehabilitation setting, under occupational therapist supervision.

What you will do

• Carry out delegated treatment interventions within the occupational therapist's documented plan of care.
• Help residents practice daily-living activities, functional tasks and safe use of adaptive equipment.
• Observe performance, document treatment and report changes or concerns to the supervising OT.
• Reinforce caregiver and staff education consistent with the OT's plan.
• Coordinate with the rehabilitation team and participate in care planning within the OTA role.
• Work under required OT supervision; do not independently establish an initial evaluation or plan of care.

Qualifications

• A occupational therapy assistant license valid in California, or eligibility for that license with the application process initiated or underway. New graduates and candidates licensed in other U.S. states are welcome to apply.
• Only the license for this clinical discipline qualifies; unrelated licenses such as RN or CNA are not accepted.
• SNF and adult/geriatric rehabilitation experience preferred, not required.
• We are unable to provide visa sponsorship at this time.
• California OTA licensure is sufficient; separate NBCOT COTA certification is not required by this search.
• Application eligibility is separate from authorization to practice. The appropriate California license or required authorizations must be in place before clinical work begins.
