About the role

Bayshore Therapies provides physical, occupational and speech therapy in skilled nursing facilities throughout California. Help adults and older adults address communication, cognitive-communication and swallowing needs in a skilled nursing rehabilitation setting.

What you will do

• Evaluate speech, language, cognitive-communication and swallowing function within your scope and competence.
• Develop individualized plans of care and measurable goals.
• Provide skilled therapy and adjust interventions based on resident progress.
• Coordinate swallowing-related recommendations with nursing, dietary staff and providers as appropriate.
• Train residents, caregivers and staff on communication and swallowing strategies.
• Complete accurate evaluation, treatment, progress and discharge documentation.

Qualifications

• A speech-language pathologist license valid in California, or eligibility for that license with the application process initiated or underway. New graduates and candidates licensed in other U.S. states are welcome to apply.
• Only the license for this clinical discipline qualifies; unrelated licenses such as RN or CNA are not accepted.
• SNF and adult/geriatric rehabilitation experience preferred, not required.
• We are unable to provide visa sponsorship at this time.
• Candidates with their Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) may also be considered. Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates are welcome to apply.
• Application eligibility is separate from authorization to practice. The appropriate California license or required authorizations must be in place before clinical work begins.
